A (very) small example of Alternate Rebellion.

The hospital I rent my office from switched their policy so that people who use its services no longer receive free parking. The new system is also more laborious for office staff and requires patients to either walk further to pay for their ticket or wait on ridiculously long lines.

I get free parking but I choose not to go through the employee entrance. I go through the patient entrance, get a ticket and then use my ID to exit for free at the end of the day. I figure every ticket I collect costs them something.

This is how we engage in alternate rebellion. This is what we do to fight something we can’t change without causing greater harm. It satiates the need for revenge proportionately. Unless they decide to revoke my parking privileges. Then don’t do what I do.
